Brown has practiced law for over 28 years and previously worked as the taxation partner in the Business Section at Martin Snow, LLP. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Mercer University School of Law where he has taught Estate Planning for over 18 years.

​

In his many years practicing law, Brown has gained an immense amount of experience in estate and probate planning and administration of estates and trusts. Brown's clients include businesses, individuals, trust departments, telecommunications companies (including wireless and internet), professionals, timber investors, investment brokers, and financial planners.

 

 Since 1989, Brown has served as general counsel for many local and state businesses and often is a speaker at many state and local seminars, has conducted estate planning seminars for employees of Weyerhauser Corporation, and has written for Mercer Law Review.

 

 Brown graduated in 1979 from the University of Georgia and went on to study at Mercer University School of Law where he earned a J.D. Degree in 1988. He continued his education and earned a Masters of Law (L.L.M.) in Taxation from New York University in 1989.

Brown is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia and is a member of the  Macon Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Bar Association.

​

He has been involved in numerous charitable endeavors including

serving on the Board of Directors for The Children's Hospital of

the Medical Center of Central Georgia for over 10 years, having served as Vice Chairman in 1995, serving as the President and Director of Taylor-Stevens Foundation, Inc., as well as serving as the Director of Zarks Family Foundation, Inc., serving as a past Board member of the Boy Scouts of Middle Georgia, and is also a member of Macon Civic Club and an alumnus of Leadership Macon.

Brown is a member of Idle Hour Country Club and Christ Church and enjoys golfing, fishing, playing tennis, and hunting.
